Quinte Trap & Gun Club has been in operation since 1980 and is located at it's present location since 1995. Nestled in the rolling hills of Sidney Township, the club provides a scenic and private location to enjoy the sport of trapshooting. The club has 5 registered trap fields all outfitted with voice activated release system as well as two automatic PAT traps.

The club was created in 1973 by Dr. Gian B. Paloschi (1930-1993). He was the club founder, mentor, and benefactor. He liked hunting and the shooting sports; thus his affiliation with the shooting sports of trap and skeet. He was more an accomplished Trap shooter [ New York State Handicap Champion and Ontario Summer Games winner], but he also enjoyed skeet as it kept him sharp for his favorite hunting, that of the woodcock. The club would not exist, if not for his insight to create it, and his determination to see it succeed, both during his lifetime and beyond! We all thank you!!; ; Doc, or John, as he was known to his closest friends,is always missed, every time the club is open; for his wit, humour, wisdom and zest for life, fun and fast sports cars. The club continues to hold the "Annual Paloschi Memorial Trap Shoot", in his honour.

Established in 1950 our club has an indoor range, 3 pistol ranges, a covered bunker for steel targets, 100, 200, 300 yard rifle range and a large classroom area.; ; Our club provides a venue for members to enjoy a wide range of shooting sports in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. We encourage people of all ages to come out and see what we are all about. You will find there is usually a member who is willing to spend some time with you to see if shooting is a sport for you.

We are a Club officially registered in February of 1961 with the following objectives: To establish, maintain and conduct a Fish and Game Club and to promote an interest in fishing, hunting, marksmanship and other sports.
* To promote an interest in conservation.
* To purchase, lease or acquire land for the practice of conservation and for establishing fishing ponds and streams.
